First International Computer (FIC)’s automotive technology, FIC Laser AR HUD (Augmented Reality Head-up Display) utilises LBS (Laser Beaming Scanning) technology to apply and integrate 3D virtual projection images into real physical world, displaying safety ADAS and car information onto the original windshield, in front of the drivers’ eyes on the road upon driving. The FIC AR HUD provides information from safety point of view to remind the driver on driving safety by connecting with ADAS system, so that the driver can easily obtain certain road safety and in-vehicle information directly from the windshield, which makes the driving smarter and safer.

The AR technology developed by FIC is not only meant to be applied for Head-up display function, but also design on purpose to become one of the key portals into in-vehicle Metaverse. With Augmented Reality and Holographic projection technology in autonomous vehicle, combining with the real world and the virtual images together, drivers or passengers can easily enter the Metaverse world just by stepping in the car and without wearing any headsets, which bringing an unlimited innovation and creativity to the scenes in the future vehicles by connecting with the IoV (Internet of vehicles) and AIoT (AI Internet Of Thing) to launch a new experience of driving revolution.

  • LBS imaging scheme is adopted with high contrast and high brightness, and the image is clear and unaffected in during all weathers and time of the day.
  • The vehicle windshield does not use wedged glass, or custom-made windshield, which makes the cost lower than others.
  • Important vehicle messages (such as ADAS) are projected instantly to improve driving safety.
  • FIC AR HUD provides virtual image projecting angle from FOV (Field Of View) 20-50 degrees and VID (Virtual Image Distance) 20 to 35 meters.
  • FIC AR HUD implements various multi-functional applications, such as Navigation, ADAS, DMS (Driver Monitoring System) and DBS (Driver Behavior System.)
  • In-house design of 7 algorithms to project and display precise 3D virtual images mapping on every different aspect of driving road environment.
