Krungthai Bank PCL, a government-majority-owned commercial bank in Thailand and a leader in digital banking, introduced ONE Krungthai, a mobile app connecting employees to the bank anytime and anywhere. Designed to be the ‘workplace in your hands,’ ONE Krungthai was developed around 5 core functions: communication, human resources management, personal improvement, engagement, and daily work tools.

With these handy features, ONE Krungthai is used by Krungthai employees on a daily basis. It is also used to foster organizational culture through gamification. To promote the five desirable traits or DNAs—Integrity, Breakthrough, Efficiency, Social, and Teamwork— which are fundamental to becoming a sustainable organization, DNA points are given to employees when they participate in activities associated with each DNA or when they are endorsed by others for displaying such qualities. The points received will build up their individual DNA profile, their team profile, and ultimately the organization’s profile. Top employees are recognized in the leaderboards.

ONE Krungthai has an all-pervading impact throughout the organization. It has become part of Krungthai employees’ daily routine as well as a tool the bank can use to maneuver the organization toward sustainability.

  • Used for internal communications, pushing notifications for important messages and ensuring that employees get only messages relevant to them.
  • Employees can clock in and out, submit daily health reports, apply for leave, etc., and team heads have access to dashboards summarizing key data for better team management and decisionmaking.
  • Provides access to the bank’s knowledge management and internal and external e-training platforms.
  • Includes engagement features such as endorsement, hall of fame, leaderboards, and gift redemption using in-app coins earned from engaging with the app.
