The Roads and Transport Authority has developed an innovation culture framework that aims to make innovation an everyday practice by experimenting with new approaches, enabling people with the right capabilities, networks, and resources, thereby enriching the culture of innovation. This will increase the number of innovative ideas submitted by employees and the number of innovative projects that can be implemented. Moreover, the employees that are executing the projects now have a better understanding of the value of innovation. RTA has reinforced the culture of innovation by establishing it as an institutional value and adopting innovation in daily practice by all categories and career levels. This has resulted in RTA becoming the First entity in the Middle East and the First Transportation entity worldwide to achieve Innovation “Level 3” Certification from the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI).
